Get to know her:

Maragaret Denise Quigley, also known as Maggie Q, was born on May 22nd, 1979 - it is almost her birthday - is no 31 years of age. She is an American/Chinese actress and model.

She was born [and raised] in Honolulu, Hawaii in the US.

Her Family:

Her father is of an American, Irish AND Polish descent, whereas her mother is a Vietnamese immigrant. She was raised up with four siblings.

Education:

As she grew up Maggie attended Mililani Waena Elementary School and Wheeler Intermediate School. When she attended Mililani High School, she was on the cross country, track, field and swim teams. In senior year she won "Best Bod" and then graduted in 1997.

 Career:

Maggie began modelling in Tokyo, thanks to her friend's suggestion, at the age of 17, before making an unsuccessful move to Taipei and finally trying in Hong Kong. She said it was hard for her, because she didn't speak the language and had no money, but in Hong Kong was when she was selected by Jackie Chan, because he saw a potential action star. Jackie Chan then taught her Kung Fu, but before then Maggie Q had never done martial arts before, in her life.
