She first attended Balmain Public School and then Hunters Hill School before attending Bradfield Senior College in Crows Nest. At the age of 8, she began acting classes and jointed the Australian Theatre for Young People and then later attended the University of Sydney. In 1999, she studied acting at the Atlantic Theatre Company.
