Get To Know Her :
Shingai Elizabeth Maria Shoniwa, born on September 1st 1981, age 29, was born and raised in London, England. She is a singer and is known for being the lead vocalist in "The Noisettes." She grew up in a public-housing estate in South London.
Her Family:
When she was 11, her father died, leaving her mother, who emigrated from Zimbabwe.
Education:
At first she wanted to be an actress and for a short while joined the Lost Vagueness crew as a burlesque performer. In a London youth club, as a teenager, she studied circus skills. When she graduated, she attended art school and dabbled in local theatre. She then went to study at the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology in Croydon.
 Career:
Shingai has provided backing vocals for different genres of artists, for example, Guillemots with "Made Up Love Song#43" and "Over the Stirs," she has worked with more known artists such as Celine Dion and Madonna on the single "Sing" which was a song about the fight against HIV in 2007.
